Yoghurt Cheese Sauce
Igredients
1/3 cup of plain yoghurt
1 cup of milk
1/2 cup grated cheese
1 Onion chopped
2 tablespoons oil
2 garlic cloves, crushed
2 tablespoons cake flour
2 teaspoons lemon juice
Fresh chopped parsely(or dried)
Instructions
1 Heat oil in a saucepan, fry onion and garlic until just soft.
2 Stir in the cake flour and fry for a few seconds then add the yoghurt and milk, and stir continuously on low heat until the mixture thickens.
3 Season with salt and pepper to taste.
4 Remove the mixture from the heat and add the cheese until it has melted then add lemon juice and parsely.
Notes
Best served immediately with fish or chicken, even Roast potatoes. It makes an excellent sauce for creamy spinach.
